New at Live2Support : Sugar CRM integration, URL Conversion, and Canned Message Update

As a bonus Christmas present for all the members of our Live2Support family, we are delighted to share not one but three significant enhancements to our award-winning live chat software. These enhancements include Sugar CRM integration, URL conversion and a Canned Message update. So let us go exploring them one at a time.

Sugar CRM integration and Live Chat Software

Live2Support live chat application provides seamless integration with Sugar CRM, the popular CRM platform that has come to be known as the flagship of the open source movement. All the chat transcripts triggered on your website as a result of operator-visitor interaction will be automatically saved in your Sugar CRM account once you have performed the easy integration. You can then further assign these chat transcripts into your Lead, Contact, Account, and Opportunity sub-sets within Sugar CRM. Simply download the Sugar CRM module from the Live2Support Control Panel and install it into your Sugar CRM account. The module will create the necessary fields of the chat transcript in your Sugar CRM account. Your next step is to download a PHP script (API) from the Live2Support website and install the script on your hosting server in the Sugar CRM folder. Place the URL address of the PHP script in your Live2support control panel. All the pertinent chat sessions will automatically save into your Sugar CRM account. You will need a fully functional Sugar CRM account in order for the integration to work like a charm.

URL Conversion

Each time your chat operators type a website address (also known as a URL) in the chat window as a part of a chat conversation, the website address will automatically convert into a hyper link. You can use this as a valuable sales tool because your online visitors can be directed to specific web pages on your website without any typing effort. Just to make sure, chat operators should inform your online visitors that the web address is a live link and will take them to the web page being discussed. Chat operators, should however, exercise judgment and be directed not to type external links because this feature will cause your online visitors to exit your website.

Canned Message Update

We have further enhanced Live2Support's canned response capabilities by adding a variable for the name field in the pre chat form. Chat operators no longer need to type the name of online visitors with whom they are chatting. The visitor's name will be added automatically to the chat interchange which was initially used by the online visitor in the pre-chat form.
