Live2Support Spotlight : Preference Settings

Live2Support live chat software provides you the flexibility to set your preferences not only in terms of look-and-feel much like what Google lets you do on its home page, but also in terms of functionality. You can leverage these preference settings for an improved chat experience both for your chat operators as well as for your chat visitors. Here is our overview.

The Preference Settings in Live2Support features five control areas. They include:

  • 1. General
  • 2. Sounds
  • 3. Language
  • 4. Spell Checker
  • 4. Connections

General

The General Preference settings let you customize the general look-and-feel of the live chat application and define its functionality. It features control options such as :

1. Automatic start on window start
2. Confirm before closing application
3. Hide to system tray
4. Auto chat accept
5. Auto login
6. Hide Block IP Button
7. Play Sound Alert While Offline

Sounds

There are multiple sound profiles for multiple notifications including chat request, chat transfer and other settings that use audio indicators. You can test the sound before activating it by clicking on the Test Button.

Language

Live2Support features multiple language operator interfaces which include all the major languages of the world. Your chat operators can choose the interface of their choice. All your chat operators need to do is to select, save and chat. These language preferences are in no way permanent and can be changed whenever there is a need to do so.

Spell Checker

We don't have to tell you how important it is to spell correctly while chatting with your customers. Our spell checker function, which works in several languages, can help your chat operators to present a professional image not only of your customer support team but your entire company. Encourage your chat operators to use the spell checker function all the time for an enhanced image and branding.

Connection

Since this setting happens to be a tad technical in nature, it should only be changed by a chat operator with a technical background. The Connection Setting determines how you connect to the Internet. There are multiple options available including default and proxy settings which are used to define the nature of your connection.

Final Word

None of the preference settings we have described above are permanent in that you can always go back to the preference settings and modify them on a needs basis. If a specific setting results in a mismatch of sorts, simply undo the setting and you are back in business again! As always, please feel free to chat with us live and provide us with an opportunity to clarify any issues you may have either about Live2Support's preference settings or any other feature of our live chat software application.
